The manga industry faced a significant loss as Kana Hoshino, leading mangaka, has passed away.
Kana Yoshino, the well-known shoujo mangaka, passed away on 28th April due to an unspecified illness.
With almost 40 years of experience, she was a legendary author who had inspired many young mangakas.
Yoshino-sensei was most comfortable with fantasy and school romance genres.
Many of her works have been published in the Hana to Yume and Bessatsu Hana to Yume magazines.
Her work was unrivaled in the 80s and 90s, and many old-time manga fans will remember reading her works.
We wish that her soul rests in peace and that her works keep inspiring people.
